The present invention provides a cup holder for a vehicle, having a placing hole formed thereon to allow a cup to be placed. The cup holder for a vehicle comprises a console, a tray and a stopper. The opening has an open upper side and has rails formed on both sides of the inner circumferential surface of the opening in the longitudinal direction. The tray has a placing hole formed thereon and has first protrusion parts formed on both sides of one end to be inserted into the rails and second protrusion parts formed on both sides of the other end to be inserted into the rails. The stopper is rotatably coupled to the tray. The tray is slid along the rails. When the stopper is rotated to be engaged with the teeth of the gear formed on the inner circumferential surface of the opening, the sliding of the tray is stopped. According to the present invention with a structure described above, the tray can be slid such that the cup can be placed at a position allowing convenient use by a user in accordance with his/her body shape.
