摘要 The present invention relates to a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) marker for determining the content of lauric acid in pork, a primer set capable of amplifying or detecting the SNP marker, and a method for determining the content of lauric acid in pork using the primer set. The method for determining the content of lauric acid, by using the primer set and the SNP marker for determining the content of lauric acid in pork enables the selection of a breeding pig containing the high content of lauric acid in pork. Thus, the method can be useful for improving natural antibacterial ability in human as a consumer and also for raising pigs containing lauric acid which shows antibacterial properties.
