An ice maker according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: an ice making part to generate ice; a raw water supply part to supply raw water to the ice making part; a total dissolved solids (TDS) measurement part to generate a raw water TDS value by measuring a TDS value of solids contained in the raw water; and a control part to control a driving time of the ice making part in accordance with the raw water TDS value. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the ice maker has the technical effect of being able to generate ice of fixed size and intensity always, by controlling the ice making time in accordance with variation of the amount of the solids contained in the raw water even though the amount of the solids thereof is changed. |
