Provided are an LTF generation method and apparatus. The method includes: acquiring a basic LTF corresponding to each resource block in N scheduled resource blocks according to a correlation between the resource blocks and the basic LTFs; acquiring a cyclic shift sequence corresponding to a combined sequence of the N resource blocks according to the combined sequence, and performing cyclic shift processing; and inserting the basic LTFs corresponding to the processed resource blocks into sub-carrier locations corresponding to the resource blocks, filling other positions with 0, and generating an LTF. PAPR can be reduced.
