PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring display image quality when a device acquiring image data has a narrow dynamic range close to display image quality when the device has a wide dynamic range.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus acquires, for a pixel included in an input image, a reference gradation value relative to the gradation value of the pixel, determines a correction magnification that is a magnification for correcting the dynamic range of the image on the basis of the dynamic range of an output destination of the image, and corrects the chroma or hue of the pixel on the basis of the reference gradation value and correction magnification.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
