The embodiments of the present invention provide a method for obtaining user equipment (UE) information, comprising: identification information of the UE on an access network is obtained; request information is sent to a mobility management entity, said request information comprising the identification information of the UE on the access network; the mobility management entity is requested to return information of said UE according to the identification information of the UE on the access network; UE information returned by said mobility management entity is obtained. Correspondingly, the embodiments of the present invention also provide a device for obtaining UE information. Using the present invention, certain UE information of a user equipment may be obtained, so that a core network may specifically control the user equipment, improving system processing efficiency.
