PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector with a flat type conductor in which no stress is applied to a wire connection place between a terminal and a flat type conductor when the terminal and the flat type conductor suffer external force.SOLUTION: In an electrical connector with a flat type conductor having plural terminals 50 and a housing 10 in which the plural terminals 50 are mounted, each of the terminals 50 having a contact portion 53A at a front portion thereof and a wire connection portion 59A at a rear portion thereof, the wire connection portion 59A being connected to corresponding conductive wires of flexible flat type conductors 2A, 2B, the housing 10 has a terminal housing part 25 in which a terminal is mounted, conductor arrangement faces 27A, 27B on which the flat type conductors are arranged, conductor lock portions 29A, 29B which extend rearwards from the wire connection portion 59A of the terminal and are provided so as to restrict movement at the flat type conductors. The housing 10 expands in a direction perpendicular to the conductor arrangement faces 27A, 27B between the terminal housing part 25 and the conductor lock portions 29A, 29B, and curved portion receiving spaces 28A, 28B for permitting formation of curved portions 2A-2, 2B-2 are formed in the flat type conductors.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
