[Problem] To enable the provision of display that is more favorable to a user. [Solution] Provided is a display device that comprises: a pixel array; and a microlens array which is disposed on the display surface-side of the pixel array, and in which the lenses thereof are arrayed at a pitch that is greater than the pixel pitch of the pixel array. The microlens array is disposed so that each lens of the microlens array generates a virtual image of the display of the pixel array, on the side opposite the display surface of the pixel array. Due to the light from each pixel of the pixel array being controlled, the light emitted from each lens of the microlens array is controlled so that an image visible via each lens of the microlens array becomes a continuous and integrated display. |
