[Problem] To reduce the effects of a communication delay, momentary interruption, etc., in a network, and increase the efficiency and speed of various processes in which a transportation card is used. [Solution] A transportation card processing system 100 configured to include at least a center server 1100 which is provided with: a communication device for communicating with per-region regional servers 1000 connected to each of the reader-writer terminals 1200 located in a prescribed region; and an arithmetic device for receiving, from the regional server 1000 of the region concerned, an entrustment request for a process pertaining to a transportation card that is to be read by each of the reader-writer terminals 1200, extracting information pertaining to the transportation card indicated by the entrustment request among the information about each of the transportation cards possessed in advance by a storage device, storing entrustment information for entrusting the processing of the transportation card in the storage device together with the extracted information, and returning the same to the regional server 1000 that is the source of origination of the entrustment request. |
