A diagnostic index that differentiates between normality and abnormality is required for fault diagnosis of machines provided with sensors. The diagnostic index must be re-created when machine parts are repaired or replaced because the machine status changes. However, during the period of re-creation, there was a problem in that the machine could not be diagnosed. Thus, during the period the diagnostic index is being re-created, diagnosis for regions of the machine where parts have not been repaired or replaced was difficult. With the present invention, a diagnostic index is created separately for each item (engine cooling water, for example) of the machine to be diagnosed. A repaired or replaced part is found in the inspection history, and only the diagnostic index associated with the part is re-created. Diagnostic indices not associated with the repaired or replaced part are not re-created and can be used for diagnosis. |
