Disclosed is a method for forming an organic thin film transistor, which enables to form an organic thin film transistor having high carrier mobility by a coating process. Also disclosed is an organic thin film transistor formed by such a method. Specifically disclosed is a method for forming an organic thin film transistor wherein a coating liquid containing an organic semiconductor material is supplied and coated over a substrate and then dried thereon for forming a film. This method is characterized in that the center of gravity of the organic semiconductor film is not within the channel region of the transistor. Also specifically disclosed is an organic thin film transistor formed by such a method. |
