<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grind a glass molding composed of an optical glass material weak for chemicals being optical glass at a lower cost without impairing quality. <P>SOLUTION: A method for grinding optical glass includes carrying out precise grinding by allowing a conductive cup grinding wheel having a grinding surface for precise grinding to abut on the surface to be ground before a rough grinding process for the glass molding comprised of the optical glass material weak for chemicals to be the optical glass and rotating it (S6b), and performing dressing of a grinding surface by applying a predetermined voltage between an electrode and the cup grinding wheel while supplying conductive grinding liquid between the electrode arranged at a position opposite to the grinding surface of the cup grinding wheel and the cup grinding wheel during the grinding process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
