PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hepatopathy prophylactic that has a limonoid-containing substance derived from citrus as an active ingredient.SOLUTION: A hepatopathy prophylactic of the present invention has a limonoid-containing substance derived from citrus as an active ingredient. Specifically, such an ingredient is a limonoid-containing substance extracted and separated from citrus, and its major components are limonin, deacetylnomilin, and ichangensis. Chloroform is preferable as extraction solvent. Although a type of citrus is no object, their seeds in which a large amount of limonoid is contained are desirable. |
