This method for producing a plant fiber-containing resin composition melts and mixes a base resin and a molded article, wherein plant fibers are dispersed in a resin for fiber dispersion, or a ground product of the molded article. It is preferable for this method for producing a plant fiber-containing resin composition to prepare the molded article using a mixed dispersion liquid that is obtained by mixing a fiber slurry containing the plant fibers and a resin emulsion containing the resin for fiber dispersion.
