A water level measuring device comprises: a toilet provided with a bowl for storing collected water and catching excrement; a vertical pipe-shaped water level forming pipe with the upper end thereof as an atmosphere release end; a pressure measuring means for measuring pressure generated according to the water level in the water level forming pipe; a measurement water level forming means for causing the lower end part of the water level forming pipe and the collected water in the bowl to communicate with each other and forming, in the measurement water level forming pipe, a measurement water level having the same water level as the water level of the collected water; a collected water level calculating means for calculating the water level of the collected water on the basis of the pressure measurement value measured by the pressure measuring means at the measurement water level; a calibration water level forming means for supplying water to the water level forming pipe to form a calibration water level with a predetermined height in the water level forming pipe; and an output calibrating means for calibrating the output of the pressure measuring means on the basis of the output value of the pressure measuring means at the calibration water level, and the water level measuring device is further provided with a refresh operation control means for causing the calibration water level forming means to perform a refresh operation for forming the calibration water level again at a predetermined timing. |
