The present invention relates to an electrode assembly, comprising: a cathode plate which includes a cathode active material coating portion on at least one surface of a cathode current collector; an anode plate which includes an anode active material coating portion on at least one surface of an anode current collector; and a separation film which is interposed between the anode plate and the cathode plate and insulates the anode plate and the cathode plate, the cathode plate, the anode plate and the separation film being configured in the form of a jelly roll by winding them, wherein the cathode active material coating portion and the anode active material coating portion each have an active material projection which projects to one side, and includes at least one stepped portion formed by the active material projection when being wound. As described above, according to an embodiment of the present invention, electrode assemblies having various shapes can be provided by controlling the area and number of active material projections. |
