A method for providing material to a gasifier comprises providing a feedstock. A flow of the feedstock is formed. The flow is then delivered to a gasifier such that it provides a substantially airtight seal to the gasifier. The flow of feedstock (preferably solid waste) may be provided from an auger to the gasifier, via a tube which may have flow restrictors to help to form an airtight plug of feedstock in the tube. |
