PURPOSE:To form a high-performance protective film having uniform quality by utilizing a Langmuir-Blodgett film by dropping a lubricating agent onto a liquid surface to form an expanded film and adhering the expanded film by an LB method on the surface of a disk. CONSTITUTION:A lubricating agent soln. formed by dissolving perfluoropolyether having a functional group into trichloroethane which is a solvent of a fluorine system is prepd. This soln. is dropped into a water tank 10 storing water 12 to form the expanded film 16. The expanded film 16 is reduced in surface area according to the film to be formed by moving movable levers 18, 20. the disk 22 supported by a supporting mechanism 24 is then sunk into the water and after the expanded film 16 is adhered thereon, the expanded film 1 is moved by the bars 18, 20 and the disk 22 is pulled up. The high-performance protective film having the uniform quality is, therefore, formed by utilizing the Langmuir- Blodgett film.
