A method for forging performs consists in upsetting a perform by flat plates. The initial heated preform is cooled in the middle part of the length so that in its longitudinal cross section two local high temperature zones arise, arranged symmetrically opposite each other. Thereafter, the perform is installed in the flat plates so, that its ends are in contact with the working surface of the tool. |
