Disclosed is an automatic escalator operation system interworking with a passenger transport means. The system includes: a train operation information unit for transmitting at least one information among an estimated time of arrival (ETA) signal, an arrival time signal, a door open signal, a door close signal, an arrival state signal, a passenger alighting signal, and a train departure signal of a passenger transport means; a monitoring control unit for receiving the information from the train operation information unit to control the escalator, wherein the monitoring control unit, when the doors of the passenger transport means are closed to depart for another station, receives the door close signal from the train operation information unit, to stop the escalator driven in the direction for boarding on the passenger transport means, and reversely operate the escalator in the direction that the alighted passengers move. Accordingly, the escalators are operated in the two-way direction in normal times, and the escalators are driven in the alighting direction after an arriving time of the train and a door closing time due to completion of passengers alighting, thus the escalator, which has been unnecessarily used, can be used more effectively. |
