An apparatus for cutting sheet materials by high-pressure fluid jet includes jaws, kinematically connected by means of a mechanism of approaching jaws and a transfer mechanism with a reversible drive. Two pairs of jaws, each of which has the individual mechanism of approaching jaws information and individual transfer mechanism, are arranged symmetrically with respect to the cutting area and fixed on an end link of a manipulator with possibility to move longitudinally in a direction close to normal relative to the tangent line of contour feed, and the jaw pairs are pivotally connected to each other by a linear movement drive. Additionally the jaws have locking inserts with power levers, made with possibility of rotation around the vertical axis, the insertions and levers are pivotally connected in pairs by a separate linear displacement drive. The linear displacement drives have coordinated control. |
