The present invention relates to a power outlet apparatus. The power outlet apparatus senses whether or not a plug is inserted into a terminal to control power to be supplied or blocked to a socket in accordance with a sensed result. According to the present invention, the power outlet apparatus comprises: a housing having a plug insertion hole where the outer plug is inserted; a substrate provided inside the housing; the terminal provided to the substrate to face the plug insertion hole; and a switching unit sensing that the plug is inserted into the terminal to control a power supply to the terminal. The terminal is electrically connected to the switching unit.
