Disclosed is a low-cost and high-performance photographic lens optical system. The photographic lens optical system comprises a first lens, a second lens, a third lens, and a fourth lens sequentially arranged along a light propagation path between an object and an image sensor on which an image of the object is formed. The first lens has negative refractive power and an incident surface convex towards the object. The second lens has positive refractive power and an exit surface concave with respect to the image sensor. The third lens has positive refractive power and an exit surface convex towards the image sensor. And the fourth lens has negative refractive power and an aspherical incident surface with two or more inflection points.
