The present invention relates to real-time traffic information providing device and method. The device generates a representative speed for each road and each section based on the GPS data received from individual user terminals, receives traffic information provided by external traffic information providers, and provides the traffic information integrated with the representative speed. The device includes: a road inter-link correlation generation unit which analyzes, for a sub road or section for which traffic information is not available, the correlation between the sub road and a main road or section close to the sub road based on the traffic information about the main road or section and generates the correlation; a traffic information generation unit which generates traffic information where the representative speed by section of the sub road and main road, traffic information provided by the external traffic information providers, and traffic information about the sub road generated through missing compensation using the correlation with the main road are integrated; and a traffic information providing unit which provides the individual user terminals with the traffic information integrated by the traffic information generation unit. |
