Disclosed is a method for managing a coordinator in a wireless sensor network to minimize loss of sensor data. The method for managing a coordinator in a wireless sensor network according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: determining a state of a main coordinator managed by a PAN coordinator; and starting, by the PAN coordinator, wireless communication with an auxiliary coordinator instead of the main coordinator when it is determined that the main coordinator is in an abnormal state.
