PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valuable medium processor and an error release method, capable of reducing time required for a restoration operation from an abnormal condition, and improving convenience for an operator, when not all of valuable media which should be taken out cannot be taken out from inside to outside of a housing due to jam when performing the restoration operation from the abnormal condition, and when the restoration operation is started again when the restoration operation is stopped after performing some of plural steps in a procedure of the restoration operation, from the abnormal condition.SOLUTION: A valuable medium processor (for example, currency processor 1) is configured so that, when an abnormal condition is detected by an abnormal condition detection part 62, a guidance screen related to take-out of valuable media is switched for every area and is displayed on a display part (for example, operation display part 50), and display of the guidance screen related to an area in which it is detected that an operation is performed, by a take-out operation detection part 64, is omitted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
