According to an embodiment of the present invention, a liquid crystal display device is disclosed. A light guide unit comprises: a base layer including a light incident surface and a light exit surface; a first quantum dot layer configured to convert some of wavelengths of light emitted from a light source unit and touch the light exit surface of the base layer; and a protection layer configured to seal the first quantum dot layer. Therefore, a thickness increase and light loss of the liquid crystal display device are reduced and increasing amounts of consumption power and used quantum dots of the liquid crystal display device can be minimized. |
