PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress signal deterioration of a plurality of signal light to be transmitted.SOLUTION: An optical transmission device 1 comprises a receiving unit 121, an optical amplification unit 122, and a transmitting unit 123. The receiving unit 121 receives the first and second signal light transmitted at a power level according to a transmission distance. The optical amplification unit 122 amplifies the received first and second signal light according to the first signal light or the second signal light whichever has a higher power level.
