PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing instrument for rotatably connecting a clip to a barrel of the writing instrument with a fulcrum as the center, allowing the tip side of the clip to abut on an outer peripheral surface of the barrel, and always being elastically repulsed so that the rear end side of the clip separates from the outer peripheral surface of the barrel.SOLUTION: In a writing instrument, a side support plate projected on both side surfaces of a clip is put on a clip support part, and a fulcrum of freely rotating the clip is constituted, and a coil spring is arranged in the rear of its fulcrum and is always energized so that the front of the fulcrum of the clip abuts on an outer peripheral surface of a barrel. In the writing instrument, a spring holding projection 25 of entering the inside of the coil spring is provided on an inner surface of the clip of contacting with the coil spring, and in a cross section of its spring holding projection, while lengthening the orthogonal direction to the axis more than the axial direction of the writing instrument, an inner diameter of the coil spring and a circumscribed circle diameter in the orthogonal direction to the axis of a spring holding projection, are set in the substantially same.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 21 |
