PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color thermosensitive medium which can develop R, G, and B colors of high saturation even when the color developing layer is a bilayer and can develop a high quality black color and black color gradation, and to provide a printing cassette and a tape printer.SOLUTION: A color thermosensitive medium 110 comprises a first color development layer 111 and a second color development layer 112 laminated on a substrate 113 in this order. The first color development layer 111 develops an R color and the second color development layer 112 develops a B color, and as a whole a high concentration black color is developed. The first color development layer 111 develops a color "R=M+2Y" and the second color development layer 112 develops a color "B=2C+M", and the color thermosensitive medium 110 as a whole develops a black color by overlapping of R and B. In this case, R+B=(M+2Y)+(2C+M)=2(C+M+Y), meaning that a ratio of color-developing components C:M:Y becomes 1:1:1. Therefore, development of a black color having a good balance of color tones and a high concentration becomes possible.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
