PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blowhole tendency management device and a blowhole tendency management method, capable of estimating a blowhole generation amount highly accurately in a short time, and achieving early detection of a defect caused by a blowhole.SOLUTION: A blowhole tendency management device has: a camera 12 for imaging an appearance feature portion on the surface of a cast 10; and an image analyzer 14 for quantitating a recess generation amount on the appearance feature portion by subjecting a picked-up image picked up by the camera 12 to image processing, and estimating a blowhole generation amount based on correlation between the recess generation amount and the blowhole generation amount inside the cast 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
