PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel and enhanced cash storage apparatus capable of improving the accuracy in coin rod pack detection.SOLUTION: The cash storage apparatus includes: a coin rod pack storage space for storing coin rod packs; a sensor disposed at a position corresponding to the coin rod pack storage space; a determination section that determines the existence/absence of coin rod pack(s) in the coin rod pack storage space according to the output of the sensor; and a contact part which comes into contact with the bottom of the coin rod pack stored in the coin rod pack storage space.
