PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method for identifying continuously welded sections in a structure model which identify sections suitable for continuous welding in the structure model.SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for identifying continuously welded sections in a structure model includes: a spot weld element generation unit 17 that densely generates spot weld elements; an optimization analysis unit 21 that selects spot weld elements that satisfy given analysis conditions; a part-pair spot weld element extraction unit 23 that extracts spot weld elements for each part pair of a structure model; an inter-spot-weld element distance computation unit 25 that derives distances between the spot weld elements for each part pair; a spot weld interval determination unit 27 that recognizes, for each part pair, a minimum inter-spot-weld element distance as a spot weld interval of each spot weld element; and a continuously welded section identification unit 29 that identifies spot weld elements with a spot weld interval no greater than a predetermined value as continuously welded sections.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
