PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can easily move a medium pressing part for pressing a medium against a medium support part to a position according to the length in the width direction of the medium.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a conveyance part which conveys a medium M in a conveyance direction W; a medium support part 41 which supports the conveyed medium M; a medium pressing part 100 which can be switched between a pressing state where it can press the end of the medium M in the width direction X intersecting the conveyance direction W against the medium support part 41 and the non-pressing state where it cannot press the end of the medium M against the medium support part 41; and a print part which performs printing to the medium M supported by the medium support part 41. In the printer, a gap GP is allowed to be formed between the medium support part 41 and the medium pressing part 100 in the non-pressing state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
