PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engagement structure and a joining method of a seam felt which enable easy and reliable joining of both end parts of the seam felt having loops formed in two stages in a thickness direction.SOLUTION: After a first core wire (22) is passed through first loop holes (12) on a lower stage side, second loop holes (18) arranged on the upper stage side of both end parts of a seam felt (2) are matched by a second joining jig (28). The second joining jig includes: a pair of engaging members (38) attached to one surface of the seam felt near both end parts; and at least one string (40) engaged with the pair of engaging members. By tightening the string, the pair of engaging members (38) are made to approach each other, and both end parts of the seam felt are made into a downward chevron shape, thereby matching the second loop holes. Through a space (50) between the portions of the string, the matched state of the second loop holes can be visually checked, and the second loop holes can be matched by pushing the seam felt in as needed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
