PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope system for accurately extracting the position and the width of a blood vessel located at specific depth under mucous membrane, and to provide a processor device, a method for operating an endoscope system, and a method for operating a processor device.SOLUTION: An endoscope system 10 includes a light source for generating illumination light including violet light V and illumination light including blue light B, an imaging sensor 48 for imaging an observation object irradiated with the illumination light, an image signal acquisition part for acquiring a B1 image signal corresponding to the violet light V from the imaging sensor 48, and acquiring a B2 image signal corresponding to the blue light B, a blood vessel position signal generation part 76 for using the B1 image signal and the B2 image signal to generate a blood vessel position signal representing the position of a blood vessel of an observation object, a blood vessel width signal generation part 77 for using the B1 image signal and the B2 image signal to generate a blood vessel width signal representing the width of the blood vessel of an observation object, and a blood vessel image signal generation part 78 for using the blood vessel width signal and the blood vessel position signal to generate a blood vessel image signal representing the blood vessel of an observation object.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
