PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens hood device that is configured to absorb an impact and the like such as a dropping collision upon usage without losing a usage feeling, and prevent damage.SOLUTION: The lens hood device includes: a hood cylinder part 12 that blocks unnecessary light; an annular member 13 that is attachable to a tip of a lens barrel, and is relatively movable to a first position where the hood cylinder part is moved behind an optical axis upon non-usage, and a second position where the hood cylinder is extended forward from the tip of the lens barrel upon usage in the optical axis; a rotating member 16 that is provided in the hood cylinder part, is urged in one direction of a circumferential direction and is reciprocally rotatable relative to the circumferential direction of the hood cylinder part; and locking means which is formed of engagement parts 13c and 13d provided in the annular member and an engaged part 16bb provided in the rotating member capable of engaging with the engagement part against the urging when the annular member moves to the first position and the second position, in which for a post-engaged release, the rotating member is caused to rotate against the urging, and a lock is released when external force more than prescribed force is applied to the hood cylinder part in an optical axis direction when the annular member is present at the second position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
