PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device having a structure facilitating an alignment of a power reception device mounted on vehicles to the power transmission device, and capable of reducing possibilities to be driven over by the wheels of vehicles.SOLUTION: A power transmission coil unit 400 includes a spiral type power transmission coil 450, and the power transmission coil 450 is wound such that a wound length w1 in the vehicular lateral direction becomes longer than a wound length f1 in the vehicular longitudinal direction.
