PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device in which a positional relation between a permanent magnet and an air-core coil can be perceived and the air-core coil can be disposed at a desired position, and an image display device including the optical device.SOLUTION: An optical path deflection means 2 includes: a glass plate 21 having a light entering surface where light enters; a movable part 22 that supports the glass plate 21; shafts 24a, 24b that swingably support the movable part 22 around a swing shaft J; a permanent magnet 31 disposed on the movable part 22; a coil 32 that is disposed opposing to the movable part 22 and generates a magnetic field to act on the permanent magnet 31; and a holding member 26 that is disposed on an opposite side of the coil 32 to the permanent magnet 31 and holds the coil 32. The holding member 26 includes a window 263; and an inner edge 321 of the coil 32 is visible through the window 263.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
