PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which noise occurs since the operation of a cooling fan should be continued after the stop of device operation.SOLUTION: A cooling fan controller comprises: a drive part 017 which generates heat in accordance with the operation of a printer 100; a thermistor 018 which detects the temperature of the drive part 017; a cooling fan 010 which cools the drive part 017; a drive control part 015 which transmits a drive command to the drive part 017; and a control part which determines whether to stop the cooling fan 010 on the basis of the total drive amount 54 of the drive command and the detection temperature Ts detected by the thermistor 018 at the time of drive stop of the drive part 017.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
