PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a thermal transfer sheet capable of preventing the occurrence of kick and forming an image having high light resistance; a coating liquid for a cyan colorant layer for forming a cyan colorant layer of the thermal transfer sheet; a method for producing the thermal transfer sheet; and an image forming method using the thermal transfer sheet.SOLUTION: There is provided a thermal transfer sheet 100 formed by providing a cyan colorant layer 3 on one surface of a substrate 1, wherein a cyan colorant, a solvent capable of dispersing the cyan colorant and a binder resin are incorporated into the cyan colorant layer 3 and a phthalocyanine-based colorant 10x is used as the cyan colorant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
