PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent useful for photoaging which is natural origin and highly safe, has no elastin production promoting effect, and has a collagen production promoting effect.SOLUTION: The invention provides a collagen production promoter containing, as an active ingredient, water extract of Lilium rubellum belonging to Liliaceae Lilium. The collagen production promoter is obtained by extracting a whole flower comprising calyces of Lilium rubellum with 1-100 parts by mass of water or ethanol-water for 1 part by mass of dried plants at 5-70°C for 1-7 days, and by drying. Since the collagen production promoter has no elastin production promoting effect and has an extremely high effect on producing collagen, the photoaging in the skin can be solved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
