PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical judgement device which can be used at a site, because in a field of secondhand noble metal product transaction, for example, a counterfeit which is produced by covering tungsten whose specific gravity is extremely similar to that of pure gold, with pure gold, cannot be judged as a counterfeit in a conventional specific gravity measurement and touchstone inspection methods.SOLUTION: A device 1 produced by integrating a measure such as a digital caliper, and a measurement apparatus for measuring thickness of an article based on acoustic vibration propagation time, measures thickness of a noble metal which is a judgement object, then a thickness value A obtained by the measure, and a thickness value B obtained from the acoustic vibration propagation time are compared, and when A and B are almost equal, the noble metal which is the judgement object is determined as a genuine article, when A and B are significantly different, the noble metal which is the judgement object is determined as a counterfeit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
