PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaner for lubricant capable of increasing basic value without increasing ash content, and capable of increasing high temperature stability and basic value holding property.SOLUTION: There is provided an additive for lubricant represented by the following general formula (1), where X is N or CH, Y is -NRRor -CRRRwith 10 to 75 carbon atoms, each of Rto Rindependently represents a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 25 carbon atoms which may have at least one of a nitrogen atom, an oxygen atom and a sulfur atom, a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group or a thiol group, but at least one of Rto Ris selected from a hydrocarbon group having 1 to 25 carbon atoms which has at least one of a nitrogen atom, an oxygen atom and a sulfur atom, a hydroxyl group and a thiol group.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
