The present invention relates to a system and method for reserving a truck in a container terminal. The system for reserving a truck in a container terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a truck reserving module receiving the number of trucks entering for each unit time from a plurality of carriers, and providing the number of waiting trucks and the number of returning trucks to the carriers, and a terminal operation module determining the number of waiting trucks and the number of returning trucks based on the number of entering trucks, and providing the determined numbers to the truck reserving module. The number of entering trucks is determined by using a plurality of first object functions. The number of waiting trucks is determined by using a plurality of second object functions. The first and second object functions have a dual relationship. Thus, traffic congestion can be reduced at a peak time within the container terminal.
