A method of managing a multipath TCP, MPTCP, connection, wherein said MPTCP connection is established as a logical connection between end-points (1, 3, 4) that utilizes multiple network paths with one TCP session – subflow – per network path, is characterized in that at least two subflows of said MPTCP connection are terminated at different end-points (4a, 4b). Furthermore, the present invention discloses a network device that is configured to act as an end- point in a multipath TCP, MPTCP, connection, wherein the network device comprises a distributed MPTCP stack, and synchronization means for keeping the state of said distributed MPTCP stack synchronized with the state of a distributed MPTCP stack of at least one other of said end-points (4a, 4b) of said MPTCP connection. |
