An insertion instrument is provided with: an operable operation section provided to an insertion section adapted to be inserted in a lumen; a pull member for applying pull force to the operation section to operate the operation section; a conduit member through which the pull member is inserted so that the pull member can move in the longitudinal axis direction of the pull member; a cylindrical seal member affixed to both the conduit member and the pull member, the cylindrical seal member deforming as the pull member moves and separating in a watertight manner the inside of the conduit member and a portion of the pull member; a connection member for gripping, between the connection member and a part of the pull member, one end of the seal member; and an affixation section for affixing the connection member and the pull member such that the connection member and the pull member are in a state in which the seal member in contact with both the connection member and the pull member is pressed in the longitudinal axis direction. |
