The present invention provides: an updated map delivery device; a method for same; a computer program for delivering an updated map; and a recording medium having said computer program recorded thereon. In this updated map delivery method for delivering updated map data to a navigation device: a map data storage unit, which stores map data having a plurality of hierarchical structures of different scales, is provided; update information for said map data is received; the updated map data for all hierarchies is generated by generating updated map data from the map data on the basis of the received update information, and/or by causing the update information for the updated map data of one hierarchy to be reflected in the map data of another hierarchy; and the updated map data for all hierarchies which has been generated is delivered to the navigation device.
