The equipment has a longitudinal central console (10) attached to front and rear crosspieces (18, 19) at opposite ends (14-17). A central part of the central console is deprived of a fixing unit at a glazed roof (13) of the vehicle by arranging a space (20) between the central console and a glazed surface (12) of the roof. The console has an internal arch (11) mounted on a side of the glazed surface and attached to the crosspieces by two of the ends of the internal arch and an external arch mounted on a side of a passenger compartment attached to the crosspieces by the other ends.
