A system and method in which a device will search for and work collaboratively with an expert to respond to a request that the device is unable to respond to on its own. The expert may be one or more of, or a combination of, a human, a virtual persona, a robot or another device.

1. A system configured to allow experts to collaboratively respond to a request comprising:
one or more experts connected to a network; a first device comprising a processor, memory storage, executable code, and a network connection, wherein the first device is connected to the network and the first device has one or more system features that are controllable by at least one of the experts; wherein the first device is configured to determine if it has the ability to respond to the request, search for a specific expert that is among the at least one experts that has the ability to respond to the request using one or more of the devices system features, and to temporarily provide access to the system features to the specific expert; wherein the first device is further configured to determine if the request was appropriately responded to once control has returned to the device.
